The Python DeCal is a course meant to prepare scientists (specifically astronomers, but others are welcome!) for the coding needs of their fields. Increasingly, science is about computers and pushing the boundaries of what you can do with computing, so we aim to give students with little to no coding background the experience they need to excel. Attendance is not mandatory and there are 8-9 homeworks in a semester, plus a final project.
