This course aims to explore the multifaceted issue of health disparities, examining the various factors that contribute to unequal access to healthcare and differential health outcomes among different population groups. Through readings, weekly assignments, and group presentations/projects students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the causes and consequences of health disparities in the U.S., as well as investigate potential solutions to address these inequalities.Each student is allowed two unexcused absences in total throughout the semester (with exceptions for special circumstances, e.g., midterms, sickness, etc) Please notify us through email at least one week before the scheduled class for any planned absences.
