The course provides an introduction into the benefits and mechanisms of composting while taking a look at how vermicomposting differs from traditional compost by visiting the worm bin at Clark Kerr Gardens. Some topics covered include the history and science of composting, worm anatomy, the harm caused by artificial fertilizers, and how to create your own worm bin at home. Class will consist of weekly lectures, short readings, and quizzes. Come join us on Thursdays 7-8pm!
