The Cal Cricket Decal is a 1-unit course designed to inspire and develop aspiring cricketers at UC Berkeley. It combines lectures on the history and cultural significance of cricket with practical sessions focused on essential skills like batting, bowling, and fielding. There are no exams or papers; instead, students will complete a final 10-minute presentation on a cricket-related topic of their choice. The course is graded on a Pass/No Pass basis, with students required to attend at least 10 of the 13 sessions, participate actively, and complete the final project. Attendance is crucial for skill development, with up to 3 absences allowed, provided valid reasons are given.
