The Stem Cell DeCal aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of stem cells and their impact on science, society, and ethics. Through engaging lectures, discussions, and research activities, students will explore four key modules: Science and Biology, Engineering and Technology, Ethics and Controversy, and Policy and Advocacy.

The course is a 2-unit, Pass/No Pass program requiring participation in both the lecture and discussion sections. Topics are explored through expert guest speakers and hands-on discussions led by the facilitators. There are two independent discussion sections, but you must sign up for one, in addition to the lecture section.

This is a two unit class, you MUST enroll in both the lecture (Monday 6-7pm) and one discussion section (either Wednesday 3-4pm or Friday 12-1pm). The first class is on Monday, 9/9. We will continue accepting students into the course until then, and on an exception-basis afterwards (email ronitnath@berkeley.edu). To enroll, get the CCN of the lecture section and your preferred discussion section, and enter them into calcentral.
