This course focuses on interactive class activities with an opportunity to volunteer at the Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay (ASEB), putting your learned skills into action. The weekly class assignments consist of reflecting writing prompts/short answer questions. There are no exams! The final will be in the form of a capstone project. It will be a presentation on the culminating skills you have learned throughout this course with an emphasis on your evolution as teachers.

Regular class attendance is essential for fostering a collaborative learning environment to better understand Alzheimer’s disease and effective teaching strategies.

To apply your knowledge directly, you will design and implement engaging activities for individuals with Alzheimer’s at the Alzheimer’s Services of the East Bay. This invaluable experience will not only benefit the community but also enhance your teaching and communication skills!
