We will explore topics from genetic engineering and stem cell research, to the bioethics of biotechnology and emerging innovations. We will discuss the ethics and morality to navigate the changing world of medicine and research.
No prior knowledge is needed at all! This course is meant for all students, regardless of upper-division or low-division status.
Each class, we will engage in a different topic where students will be presented with information to make their own decision. Assignments are relatively low-stakes and low-pressure, we want this to be a space for students to learn of bioethics in the field and enjoy the learning they are doing!
