Ever been in an argument? Want to gain critical professional skills, learn how to resolve conflicts, and learn about the history of the criminal justice system?
This Decal teaches Restorative Justice and conflict resolution in the context of social justice and community building at UC Berkeley. Through weekly circle discussions, students explore justice applications, challenge unhealthy cycles, and address campus climate. The Decal focuses on social justice and community building, offering a platform to develop projects related to restorative responses to campus and community issues. The course will utilize an experiential learning model that emphasizes the processes themselves. Class meetings will take the form of circles, each with its own unique theme and style. This is a two unit class, and we meet Tuesdays from 4-6pm.
