This course acts as an introduction to credit cards, building credit, using credit in a responsible
manner, how to ensure you don’t spend extra money because of credit cards, and using the rewards
from credit cards to either travel at a heavily subsidized cost or earn increased cash back. This course will also cover how to optimize credit card perks such as those related to travel. We will be extensively covering how credit card perks can make travel easier and more comfortable.
The goal of this course is to familiarize you with the intricacies of credit, building credit, credit card travel benefits, and the
game of points and miles. You will have an understanding of what it means to be a responsible user
of credit and credit cards. Additionally, you will be introduced to the card application rules of
various credit card issuers.
Grading will be on a pass/no pass basis. In order to pass, you must miss no more than one class (you
can miss more if you have excused absences) and you must submit all weekly quizzes (these are graded only on completion and if you accidentally miss some, you can make them up). Additionally, you must complete the one short essay.
No day(s) left until application deadline!
