Our course is a student-run medical journal that explores current biomedical, political, and ethical facets of the medical health field. It is designed to supplement the education of journalism and pre-health students. There are two primary goals; the first is the successful publication of exemplary articles geared toward the student body and academic community, and the second is to guide students as they become successful science journalists and written communicators
Each student will write a 3-4 page health-related article and a 2-3 page mini-article over the course of the semester. The course will be taught asynchronously, and the requirement is to complete checkpoints for each article in a timely manner. Each student will also give a final presentation on their article of choice at the end of the semester.
