UPDATE: The first day of class has been moved one week earlier (from 2/8 to 2/1)
PLEASE SEND ALL COURSE RELATED QUESTIONS TO: parkourdecal@gmail.com
This course is an introduction to the theory and practical performance of parkour. We strive to provide a structured and safe environment for the learning and practicing of the sport. Students will be taught the history and controlled execution of parkour, focusing on progressions that sequentially build towards the final techniques used.
Please wear closed-toed shoes to class! Long sleeves and long pants are not required, but may serve to keep you protected from superficial scratches. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
There are weekly written reflections on the assigned research and reading materials. These will ensure your interaction with the course material, readings and research, and we will discuss the assigned material during the stretching sections of class.
This course is graded on a pass no pass basis, and therefore attendance is essential. Students are allowed one absence without question and every subsequent one must be made up at office hours. A tardy of over fifteen minutes is considered an absence.
At the end of the course, an essay and a short video demonstration will be required.
No day(s) left until application deadline!
